Lake Pukekui - Tasman glacier - Aoraki/Mt Cook
Here one of the best place where with have been, the marvelous and powerful Aoraki.
But first we stopped at the end of the Pukekui lake to let me some time to build our table with some nice wood found in the last holiday park:
We unfortunately did not see the Mt Cook from here (Aoraki). We moved the morning to his feet and had a look to the Tasman glacier. The view was incredible and we know that we are really lucky to be so close to such monster. The little walk became a frightening research expedition ... both looking for each an other in this hilly rocky landscape. After 4 hours or intense research for both of us we fortunately found each other. Everything is fine and it is the most important ...
The Hermitage hotel in the most famous one in NZ. No so impressive but still nice to see. We stayed at the Doc campsite where we enjoyed a little walk before dust. The morning allowed to see the king and god of this area. 3700m high. Few people have climb it and every year people are dying by exploring the surroundings. We heard falling ice from those icy tongues.

Lake Tekapo
The lake tekapo is situated in the middle of the south island, between north and south as well as between west and east.
We arrived there in order to explore the Aoraki - Mt Cook National park. The weather was not really in our side, cloudy with some rainy period but does not allow us to enjoy the area. We stayed in a holiday park with an incredible view.
We went hiking a little on the Mount John to the surounding as well as to have a view on the lake Alexandrina.
The color of those lake is due to thin particles of rocks eroded by the surrounding and numerous glaciers.

The view from the holiday park.
The view on the river from the lake, one canal is bringing water to the lake pukekui with a water speed not more than 1m/s to avoid rock to be moved.
The characteristic color.
The strange golden river (named by us) certainly due to a plant or tree.
Strange sheeps with strange behavior.
